Community Spotlight: Meet recording artist ANU THE DEITY from Fall River, Massachusetts.

Today, we're happy to share with you our conversation with recording artist ANU THE DEITY from Fall River, Massachusetts.
We wanted to get to know a little bit more about who he is, how he got into the music industry, and where he's going on his creative journey. Here's how it went:

Thanks for taking the time to chat with us ANU! We're excited to have you as our next feature and learn more about you as a musician. Let's start this off with you sharing exactly what it was that initially drew you to your craft, and how has your journey unfolded since then?
ANU: To be honest what drew me to creating music was a deep depression I had fell into late 2017. Around the time I discovered XXXTENTACION and I admired how he used music as a way to express his pain and emotions, so I decided to do the same thing, the rest is history.

Can you share some insights into your creative process? Where do you find inspiration, and how do you translate that into your work?
ANU: I find inspiration for the music I create through everyday living. I remember in my college drawing course my professor instilled the concept that art is merely a reflection of the human experience. It’s something that has never left my mind and truly is definitive of where I find inspiration.

What projects are you currently working on, and what excites you the most about them?
ANU: I’m currently working on the most impactful and flavorful project of my career at the moment. A mixtape titled ‘ANU, RETURN OF THE ANUNNAKI’. With the cover art being a photo from a middle school lunch break of mine back in the day. This tape truly encompasses how far I’ve gotten on my musical journey and serves as the stamp in the music industry of me claiming where I’m from and that I am just getting started.

Looking back on your career so far, what would you consider your proudest achievement or most memorable moment?
ANU: My proudest moment would definitely be when I performed at Rolling Loud. To come from where I come from and to have touched that stage, it’s something that I wish artists from my city can realize is completely and utterly attainable.

How do you navigate challenges and setbacks in your field, and what advice would you give to aspiring creatives facing similar obstacles?
ANU: Challenges and setback are normal in any industry, but especially so in the music industry. You can’t let any of it get to your head though. It’s all a part of the game! The quicker you can figure out a plan to move forward the quicker you can get to scaling your music career.

In an industry constantly evolving, how do you stay innovative and relevant while maintaining your unique voice/style?
ANU: By creating what you WANT to create. As long as you are always authentic and trying new things you never have to worry about staying relevant. There will never be another you.

Can you talk about any collaborations or partnerships that have been particularly meaningful or impactful for you?

ANUI’ve never been too big on collaborations, since moving to LA I’ve tried to make it a goal to collaborate with other dope artists I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to meet out here! Stick around for these next few projects to find out who!

What do you hope audiences or consumers take away from your work, and what impact do you aspire to make in your industry?
ANUAt the end of the day, I aim to be an inspiration to the youth and other creatives. Influencing them to be themselves no matter what. To understand that their authenticity is their superpower. To know that as long as they always act on their highest passion they can never lose. Take a leap of faith. The universe will never let you truly fail even if it feels like you are.

Lastly, what message or piece of wisdom would you like to share with your fans, or anyone inspired by your journey?
ANULove is the greatest power in this existence. As long as you always move through love, you will always be victorious.
