Community Spotlight: Meet the music group J3MOB from Los Angeles, California.

Today, we're happy to share with you our conversation with Los Angeles based music group J3MOB.
We wanted to get to know a little bit more about who they are, how they got into the music industry, and where they're going on their creative journey. Here's how it went:

Thanks for taking the time to chat with us guys! We're excited to have you as our next feature and learn more about you as musicians. Let's start this off with you sharing exactly what it was that initially drew you to your craft, and how has your journey unfolded since then?
J3MOB: We always had a huge appreciation for music, especially Underground Rap, which at the time was the SoundCloud era. We were huge fans of the whole Florida scene with Xxxtentacion & Members only with Ski Mask & Flyboy Tarantino etc. Chan Prix has always had a huge love for all type of Hip-Hop, with his biggest inspirations being Ski Mask the Slump God, Young Thug, Kanye West, Dayytona Fox, and Tyler, the Creator. We have recently been blessed to meet some of our biggest inspirations and work on collaborations that will be released to the world shortly on their Album “Throwing Paint at the Wall” which is forecasted to drop during the Summer of 2024.

Can you share some insights into your creative process? Where do you find inspiration, and how do you translate that into your work?
J3MOB: J3mob finds inspiration from everything. People think that inspiration is only through other music, but they couldn’t be more wrong. J3mob is very inspired by the world around them and everything going on it. J3mob likes to make the listener’s experience something unlike anything they’re used to hearing.

What projects are you currently working on, and what excites you the most about them?
J3MOB: "Throwing Paint at the Wall". I’m most excited for people to just appreciate this music. It's truly amazing. and there’s something on there for everybody and every setting. There will be a couple big features that people have been waiting for, so that should be fun. Of course, all the content that will come with it and the concerts.

Looking back on your career so far, what would you consider your proudest achievement or most memorable moment?
J3MOB: Honestly the Ski Mask Co-sign so far, him and X are the reason we make music.

How do you navigate challenges and setbacks in your field, and what advice would you give to aspiring creatives facing similar obstacles?
J3MOB: As an artist there's a million things you need to do, so if you’re struggling with one thing, move on to the thousands of other things you have to do. and even if you need rest, there’s stuff like paperwork and splits and credits that you can all do in bed. You have to want it, and if you’re not working for it, there’s someone else who is and they’re probably 5 years younger on Bandlab about to take your spot.

In an industry constantly evolving, how do you stay innovative and relevant while maintaining your unique voice/style?

J3MOB: I feel like Carti man. I am Music. I don't follow trends I always just do me, and I evolve constantly. -Chan Prix

Can you talk about any collaborations or partnerships that have been particularly meaningful or impactful for you?

J3MOBYou’ll know it when you see it drop.

What do you hope audiences or consumers take away from your work, and what impact do you aspire to make in your industry?
J3MOB: To have fun and enjoy life and everything around you. Life is short, come to the J3 show and jump in the mosh pit.

Lastly, what message or piece of wisdom would you like to share with your fans, or anyone inspired by your journey?

J3MOBKobe’s Mamba Mentality. Look up some videos on Kobe talking about his work ethic and compare that to whatever you do.
